
About the Simulation
Shadow War is a live online geopolitical crisis simulation that places participants at the center of an escalating conflict involving Israel, Iran, and the United States. In this interactive policy exercise, participants will assume the roles of state leaders, intelligence agencies, proxy actors, and media organisations as they respond to rapidly unfolding developments in the Middle East. The simulation replicates real-world crisis decision-making where diplomacy, military strategy, covert operations, and information warfare operate simultaneously.
Through real-time crisis updates, strategic negotiations, and confidential decision submissions, participants will attempt to advance their national interests while managing the risk of a wider regional war.

Participants may be assigned roles representing state actors, proxy groups, or international institutions, including:
• Israel War Cabinet
• Iran National Security Council
• United States National Security Council
• Saudi Arabia Strategic Council
• Russia Security Council
• China Foreign Affairs Commission
• United Nations Crisis Mediation Team
• Regional proxy actors
• International media organisations
Each team will receive a confidential briefing document outlining their strategic objectives and available options.
