The Democratisation & Media Conference by Raisina House in Collaboration with the Foreign Correspondent's Club of South Asia & India Spend was an attempt to promote a Culture of Objective Journalism amonG the Youth. The Conference saw a participation of more than 30 Eminent Speakers over 6 Session spread out for 4 Days.
Raisina House in Collaboration with the Royal Danish Embassy, New Delhi organised the Youth4SDGs Policy Dialogue on November 16, 2021. The Dialogue was an attempt to bridge the gap between Youth, Policy Stakeholders & the Industry to ensure better policies in line with the vision of the Sustainable Development Global Goals. The Session saw H.E. Freddy Svane, Ambassador of Denmark; H.E. Alexander Alex Ellis, British High Commissioner to India; H.E. Susan Ferguson, Country Representative, UN Women & Mr Sohanjeet Randhawa, Director of Sustainability Affairs, Volvo Group come together & interact with a Young audience & discussing various issues like Climate Change Actionc Future of Mobility, Gender Inclusivity, Better Employment & other aspects of Development.
Raisina House in Collaboration with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, New Delhi organised the 2nd session of the Youth4SDGs Policy Dialogue on February 22, 2022. The Dialogue was an attempt to bridge the gap between Youth, Policy Stakeholders & the Industry to ensure better policies in line with the vision of the Sustainable Development Global Goals. The Session saw H.E. Walter J. Linder, Ambassador of Germany; Mrs. Aparna Das, Senior Advisor, Sustainable Urban Development, GIZ & Ms Pragya Tyagi come together & interact with a Young audience & discussing various issues like the Future of India-Europe Development Cooperation, Need for Peace & Dialogue, Sustainable Urban Development & Youth Action for Mitigating Vlimate Change, Need for Wuality Education & other aspects of Development.
Raisina House successfully organised the "Women in the Workforce" Dialogue at the Embassy of Norway, New Delhi. Supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy, New Delhi, the ball was set rolling by H.E. Amb. Hans Jacob Frydenlund followed by a Dialogue which brought together 6 dynamic speakers Hemalakshmi Raju Dr. Prerna Kumar Dr. Pallavi Mansingh Parashar Lagau Dr. Preeti Banzal & Mohinka Sharma in a conversation moderated by Smita Sharma discussing various constraints & opportunities of Empowering Women in Indian Workforce.
It was also an Absolute honour for us to host H.E. Meenakshi Lekhi Hon'ble Minister of State for External Affairs & Culture, GoI. who delivered a truly insightful address.
Raisina House successfully organised a Dialogue "Promoting Diversity in the Workforce at Australian High Commission, New Delhi. Supported by the Australian High Commission, New Delhi, the ball was set rolling by Sarah Storey, the Dy. Australian High Commissioner followed by a Dialogue which brought together 4 dynamic speakers Dr. Prerna Kumar, Sarah Storey, Akshay Tyagi and Manoj Benjwal in a conversation moderated by Rahul Banerjee discussing various constraints & opportunities of not just promoting Women's Economic Empowerment through enhanced Workforce Participation but also ensure the participation of Professionals from diverse backgrounds irrespective of their Race, Ethnicity, gender sexual orientation or Physical capacity.
The Indo-Pacific Dialogues is an annual conference hosted by Raisinao House as part of our Project "Indo-Pacific Vision 2025". The conferencea ims to create a common platform bringing together a wide array of minds from Defence, Government, Civil Societies, along with some of therightest Young Minds in the region to deliberate upon some of the most
pressing issues facing the region and create common roadmap to ensure an open, secured and inclusive Indo-Pacific
Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) together with Raisina House organised a closed-door roundtable discussion on "Humanitarianism in the Israel-Palestine Conflict: Challenges and Opportunities” on December 8, 2023 in New Delhi India. The Closed door roundtable explored
1. What are the main humanitarian principles and standards that guide
humanitarian action in Gaza, and how are they being respected (or not) and implemented by the parties to the conflict and the humanitarian actors?
2. How can India use its friendship with both Israel and Palestine as well as its
influence in the region to mediate, facilitate dialogue among the parties and
de-escalate the crisis?
3. What are the main humanitarian recommendations and actions that need to be
taken by the humanitarian community, the international community and India
in particular, to improve the humanitarian situation and protection in Gaza?
The 5 Speakers shared their insights on various issues related to various aspects of the ongoing Conflict. The interaction was followed by audience engagement.
